The ships on their way from the North Sea to the port of Rotterdam often need a tugboat for assistance. These large tugs seem small in such a landscape but make no mistake. They are big powerhouses.
The port of Rotterdam always inspires me. The different ships but also the different landscapes.
When I look at the ships it often forms the picture I want to take. A detail of a ship or the whole ship. Or a maneuver of the ships.
Raw and the port as it is the people who work there. The images I see there I like to photograph because it is art in itself. The harbor is a different world. The landscape of the harbor is always in motion. The ships, the people and the landscape continue to fascinate me.
