Tug Rotterdam sailing alongside a container ship.
A small detail of a a large container ship sailing on the Nieuwe Waterweg. The strong tug maneuvering alongside the large container ship. The colorful containers on deck of the container ship. The strong tug the skipper behind the rudder can be seen in the wheelhouse.
The tug busy maneuvering to stern of the ship to attach a towline. I saw the large container ship sailing in and knew that tugs would be coming to assist. And luckily I was in the right place. And I was ready with the camera.
Raw and the port as it is the people who work there. The images I see there I like to photograph because it is art in itself. The harbor is a different world. The landscape of the harbor is always changing. The ships, the people and the landscape keep fascinating me. The difference between the tugboat and the container ship remains enormous.
