At dusk the tugs in action in the Europoort.
One tug is finished with the job the other tugs start the job. The cargo ships moored one after the other at the harbor quay. Despite the dusk, everything goes on in the harbor. The ships with a destination further down the harbor. The tug to a port for a well deserved rest.
The rawness of the harbor the huge ships and the big tugs. The huge cranes unloading the ships it remains spectacular. The twilight does not make it more romantic but accentuates the activity in the harbor.
The dimension of the large tug with the smaller barge in the background appealed to me greatly in this photo.
Raw and the harbor as it is the people who work there. The images I see there I like to photograph because it is art in itself. The harbor is a different world. The landscape of the harbor is always changing. The ships, the people and the landscape continue to fascinate me.
