Tulips in front of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam Museumplein
The Museumplein is a square and a city park in the district Amsterdam-Zuid, just south of Amsterdam-Centre. It owes its name to the Rijksmuseum which opened in 1885 and is located at the square. The Stedelijk Museum, the Van Gogh Museum, the Moco Museum, the annual leading exhibition ArtExpoAmsterdam and the Concertgebouw are also located at the Museumplein.
