I took this photo on the dike along the Polder Arkemheen near Nijkerk. Arkemheen is the oldest polder in the Netherlands where many meadow birds breed, as it is also along the border lakes several swans also sit/fly there. The swans that you see in the picture are 2 mute swans. I did feel lucky that these 2 swans flew by relatively low and reasonably close, yet I needed my 55-300mm telephoto lens to capture them. I did stick to the 2-by-3 ratio for this photo. When I took this photo it was not 100% sunny weather, you can still see some shadows on these 2 flying swans.
