Sunflowers! Who doesn't get cheerful.
Sunflowers (Helianthus annuus) are true summer bloomers. The beautiful flowers only appear when it is nice and warm outside and when the sun shows itself regularly. The sunflower is a lover of warm sunlight. Its flowers turn happily with the sun's light.
This annual summer bloomer can grow as tall as several metres. Usually sunflowers have yellow petals but this one has an extra shade of red-orange to the petals, making the flower even more beautiful. Even in the heart of the flower, small red details are still visible.
And the nice thing about this specimen is that several flowers even appear on one stem. So you can enjoy this cheerful flower in the garden even longer.
This beautiful flower deserves a special photo. An ordinary photo of a beautiful flower is fun in itself, but I always enjoy the challenge of making the photo a little different from the usual. To give the photo something extra, because that is what a beautiful flower deserves.
For this beautiful sunflower, I combined two photos. The colours of the sunflower in the foreground are opaque and the flower behind it is shown translucent. It looks as if there is a shadow behind the front flower, or a reflection of the sunflower's colours.
With this cheerful photo on your wall, you will enjoy the summer for a long time to come!
I see making art as a creative process.
The starting point of this process for me is always a photo or a painting of my own. Every work of art on this site is therefore based on a self-made photo or painting.
I find my sources of inspiration in everything around me...
