It was one of those cool, clear autumn days that mountaineers love. The first snow has fallen on the higher mountains, but this is no obstacle to a hike in the Tyrolean mountains. The air is so pure and crystal clear that even the distant peaks seem very close. And of course, the elegantly shaped Großvenediger with its glacier roof is like a magnet that immediately attracts the eye. It seems so elevated, like from another world. These are the moments to enjoy, to forget everyday life, to stop and just watch and dream. What would it be like to stand on the summit of this majestic mountain right now? At this time of the year, in these conditions, no one is out there. Only me - in my dreams.
What remains of my dreams? This image. Even long after the hike, it fills me with gratitude and energy. It makes me walk through the landscape again in my mind, from the alpine meadow in the foreground, where the snow already disappeared again, over the sharp ridges and peaks, to the glaciers full of crevasses, to the summit with its gigantic snow cornice. Even the tiny contrail I didn't want to blot out - it only conveys even more clearly the size and vastness of this fantastic mountain world.
