U.S. Air Force Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor.
The Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor is the most advanced fighter aircraft of the US Air Force. The fighter jet was produced by the firms Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, Boeing and Pratt & Whitney.
The aircraft has a number of features that are important for a fighter jet. For instance, it can fly supercruise, prolonged supersonic flight without using afterburners. It is extremely manoeuvrable due to the thrust-vectoring properties of the exhausts. It is a stealth aircraft and it has integrated avionics on board for optimal tuning of the engines, controls and navigation. The computers are so powerful that they can process more than 10.3 Gb per second of information.
This picture was taken on 17 September 2023 during the airshow at NAS Oceana. Because of its stealth characteristics, the aircraft's armament is carried in the fuselage. During the flight demonstration, during 1 of the flyby's, the pilot opens the weapons bay as shown in this picture.
