The Lockheed Martin-F-35 Lightning II, also known as the Joint Strike Fighter, is a fighter jet born from the US Department of Defence's Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) programme.
Three variants of the F-35 are produced: a standard version, F-35A, a variant capable of vertical landing and take-off, F-35B, and a naval variant for use on aircraft carriers, F-35C.
Strike Fighter Squadron 125 (VFA-125), also known as the Rough Raiders, is a squadron of the U.S. Navy stationed at Naval Air Station Lemoore in California. The Rough Raiders is a unit where pilots and crews are trained to fly and maintain the F-35C Lightning II.
