Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.
Still nothing? Open this page in Chrome or Safari. AR does not work in the browser of apps such as Instagram or Facebook.

About ‘Urban Garden Echo’ by shari-art

I originally painted this piece using acrylic paint and later altered the colour scheme digitally. This has created a new, more intense colour palette.
In *Urban Garden*, I see a connection between the city and nature. The bold shades of turquoise, green, yellow and red remind me of plants, light, building facades and reflections, which blend together to form a vibrant, almost overgrown urban scene. To me, the painting feels like a place where nature and urban space merge and can no longer be clearly distinguished from one another.
It is precisely this blend of texture, colour and movement that makes *Urban Garden* feel particularly alive to me.

My name is Shahrazad, and I live in Hout Bay, Cape Town.

A friend once asked, “How much of abstract art is actually down to chance?”
At first glance, flowing colours and emerging structures may seem accidental. But every line, every mark, every layer is either intentionally placed or consciously accepted. Nothing remains unless it feels right.
Opposites meet and interact: order and disruption, control and unpredictability, calm and intensity. Surfaces may…
