About the artwork

Utrecht's Oudegracht is an enchanting waterway that traverses the heart of the city, vividly reflecting the rich history and vibrant character of this Dutch gem. Dating back to the 12th century, the canal is steeped in historical significance, lined by charming wharfs and iconic wharf cellars that exude the atmosphere of days gone by.

Strolling along the Oudegracht offers a succession of visual delights. Old trees bend over the waterfront and old buildings with characteristic facades bear witness to centuries of human activity. Each building seems to tell a story, from medieval trade to modern boutiques and restaurants that embrace the traditional ambiance.

The wharf cellars along Oudegracht add a unique element to the city structure. These historic cellars, once used for storage and trade, are now transformed into atmospheric bars and restaurants that invite socialising. In summer, terraces fill the yards, where people enjoy sunny days and the soothing sight of boats passing by.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
