This is probably the most photographed part of Amsterdam. The Damrak -and also the back of the infamous Warmoesstraat.
The iconic facades and canal boats, not to mention the world famous "Grasshopper" building.
Until 2015 this was a coffeeshop, but due to new legislation '1012 (zip code ed.)' coffeeshops were no longer allowed on the Red Light District.
The photo is so incredibly sharp that you can zoom in on every brick and see every detail. This photo is also made using the 'bracketing-technique', where I take several photos and later combine them in phototshop to 1 ultra sharp HDR image.
As soon as you enter Amsterdam from the CS, you walk past this. This is an image you never forget, and why I think people would love to have it on their wall.
