VW Volkswagen Beetle Classic 60s and 70s in light blue. The Beetle – officially the Volkswagen Type 1, also known as the Bug – is a two-door, four-passenger, rear-engine economy car that was manufactured from 1938 until 2003. Although designed in the 1930s, the Beetle was only produced in significant numbers from 1945 onward. By 2002, over 21 million Type 1s had been produced.
Photo taken at a Retro Car show, held twice a year in my hometown, where these beautiful classic cars are showcased and the event finishes with a great parade through the city.
The photograph was then digitally sketched and painted in watercolor.
