About the artwork

The Belverde hotel at the Furka Pass in the Swiss Alps is, I think, Switzerland's most famous hotel. It is beautifully located in one of the many sharp curves and is therefore very popular with photographers. I also couldn't resist taking a photo of this beautiful but ghostly building at this location. Partly because it has been empty for some time, it really captures the imagination. The threatening sky helps enormously to make the image even creepier and spookier, which suits the vibe of the building well.

Located on Switzerland's famous Furka Pass, the Belvédère Hotel is an iconic mountain retreat known for its spectacular location and historic charm. Opened in 1882, the hotel accommodated travellers exploring the breathtaking Alpine pass. Situated at around 2,429 metres, it offers impressive views of the Rhone glacier, which was once almost next door.

Built in the Belle Époque style, the hotel was a popular destination for adventurers and celebrities, especially in the first half of the 20th century. Furkapas and the Belvédère Hotel became extra famous because of a scene in the James Bond film Goldfinger (1964).

Although the hotel has been closed since 2015, it remains a tourist attraction. The nearby Rhone glacier, and the historic building itself attract photographers and nature lovers from all over the world.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
