The sun has just risen, giving its warm orange to yellow glow to the timeless Overijssel landscape. What a wide view you have from Archemerberg. It is literally and figuratively a prime location. Layers of fog hang between the trees. They create atmosphere. The trees in the foreground are dreaming motionless. It is still windless. Behind every forest edge is another forest edge. What beautiful layering you can observe on top of the mountain. So it's not only great to be there in summer, when the heather blooms. There is something to see in every season. Archemerberg and Lemelerberg belong to the Natura 2000 area Lemelerberg, an area with lots of forest and heathland. If you stand on top of the Archemerberg, you have beautiful views in all directions. The intact lateral moraine was created because land ice used to push frozen sand, clay and gravel ahead of it. This work can have a good place in both dark and light interiors. It gives a sense of space. It will evoke a warm atmosphere and add depth.
