An iconic spot: Le Mont Saint-Michel in Normandy.
A magnificent medieval abbey rises on this tidal island. Also called the 8th wonder of the world, it is a Unesco World Heritage Site.
A visit to this place had been on my wish list for some time and in September 2023, it came.
It was a day that started out a bit hazy, which made the atmosphere the way I wanted it in my photo.
In this bay, the tides are the largest in Europe. An extraordinary phenomenon to see. In the photo it is low tide.
The nature reserve here around Le Mont is protected. It is a bird nesting area and you can even go mudflat hiking (with a guide, as the tide can rise quickly).
The walk to Le Mont is an experience in itself. The walk from the car park is fantastic as you always have a view of Le Mont. A footbridge was created and opened to the public in July 2014.
The photo shows how special the landscape here is.

As the daughter of a photographer, photography has been a big part of my life. I love nature and especially flowers, so you see this most in my work. I have worked as an independent make-up artist for over 15 years, developing my eye for detail. Composition is very important to me in my photos. It has to be right. Atmosphere, composition, colour and sharpness.
Actually, I always see life through my lens. Every day there is so much beauty to see and therefore also to capture.
