When the sun starts to set, the splendour of Tuscany comes out.
After some exploration, I discovered that from the south-eastern part of Pienza you could
Monticchiello you had an insanely beautiful view of this famous town.
Famous among other things for its Pecorino cheese, a delicious, soft sheep's cheese.
Scenes from the film Romeo and Juliet and The English Patient were shot here.
The backlight falls beautifully, and a matching lantern finishes it off.
To the right is the tower housing a restaurant.
The bicycle gives some extra's to the picture.
Monticchiello itself is also well worth a visit, only on foot
accessible to the tourist. Only go there in the afternoon and wait for the beautiful light.
