About the artwork

When I started looking closely at flowers, they quickly became a favourite photo subject. The details you can discover by almost literally sticking your lens into a flower are amazing. This tulip is 'just' bright pink on the outside. It has a small white edge along the top of the petals which sets it apart from other tulips. If you look on the inside, the tulip is completely different. With a blue bottom and a white border under the pink. A secret colour chart that you only see if you look closely. How pretty it is - blue, white, pink, with fine lines in the pink colour. As if someone has coloured the flower with a thin felt-tip pen, with all the little lines from top to bottom. And hidden between those petals are the pistil and stamens. The bright yellow pollen grains are a nice focal point against the blue background. They add depth to the photo, allowing me to look at it for a long time. A photo for a lovely spring feeling. In your home maker, but also, for example, in a flower shop.
