One of Madeira's most famous views is Ponta da São Lourenço, the rugged 6-kilometre-long peninsula and also the easternmost point of the island. You have several vantage points from where you can photograph this impressive coastline and rock formations including the viewpoint Miradouro Ponto da Rosto.
This vertical photo was taken a little after sunrise with a long shutter speed. This allows you to see the movement in the clouds and the smooth surface of the water. The white foam of the waves here gives a nice contrast to the azure of the sea and the earthy orange and brown tones of the rocks.
