This is an old American Crown Graphic camera.
The Pacemaker Crown Graphic was introduced by Graflex in 1947, after decades of producing the already world-famous Speed Graphic. The American camera manufacturer from Rochester, New York, had a long reputation for building reliable cameras's and the Crown Graphic was no exception. The camera's are fully mechanical, surprisingly simple for a large format press camera, and allow the use of different lenses, film holders and 120 roll film holders. Photographers have the choice of composing and focusing through the camera's frosted-glass back or using the combination of rangefinder and viewfinder for faster shooting. Graflex did away with the focal plane shutter in the Crown Graphic, reducing the weight and size of the camera and allowing wide-angle lenses to be used as the lens could be positioned closer to the film plane. These cameras's - as well as the Speed Graphics - soon dominated the press camera's market thanks to their versatility, compact construction and simplicity.
