On this beautiful summer evening in June, I was allowed to join an old lifeboat, "The Gebroeders Luden", moored in Lauwersoog. With nine photographers, we set off for Engelsmanplaat, a sandbank between Schiermonnikoog and Ameland. At low tide, you can walk onto this sandbar and enjoy the vastness of the Wadden Sea, incidentally only via an organised trip.
In the middle of this sandbank, next to the Beacon, there is a Wadden watch post that is inhabited 24 hours a day.
This beautiful evening was given extra colour by the setting sun!
