About the artwork

In this atmospheric street scene from colourful Campeche, Mexico, I catch a quiet moment amidst a vibrant city. A man strolls quietly through the cobbled streets, surrounded by colonial facades in sunny shades of yellow and blue. In the background, the imposing towers of the cathedral tower up, while trees provide shelter from the sun.

My inspiration for this work was the contrast between movement and calm, old and new, man and city. In Campeche, time sometimes seems to stand still; the rhythm of daily life follows not the clock, but the sunlight and shadows.

The atmosphere is calm and nostalgic, imbued with warmth and history. The perspective and soft colours create an intimate view of an everyday but enchanting scene.

With this work, I want to show the beauty of the simple life - the value of a single step in an ancient setting. It reminds us to stand still, look, and breathe.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
