Malpaís de Güímar in Tenerife is an extraordinary nature reserve of great ecological value, which has had protected status since 1987. This is a unique volcanic landscape stretching from Montaña Grande to the coast. Thanks to its mild climate, the area is home to a great wealth of endemic plant and tree species.
