About the artwork
"Warm colours: Leaves with seeds of the Bougainvillea" is a macro photo of a set of leaves with seeds of a plant called the Bougainvillea. I came across this plant in Lanzarote and this set of leaves had fallen from the plant and had already been partly dried by the Spanish sunshine. This made the leaves thinner, allowing the light to come through, and the vein structure of the leaves can be seen even better. If you zoom in on this piece, you can see the details even better!
This set of leaves is on a background that is reflective and equal time textured as well, which breaks up the reflection and makes it somewhat abstract. This gives a nice effect to the photo. The reflection in the material seems almost painterly.
The calm colours and centred representation make this work radiate tranquillity.
This work could hang beautifully as wall decoration (on ArtFrame or aluminium, for example) in the bedroom, dining room, hallway or simply above the sofa in the living room! (Or as wall decoration on the wall in a waiting room, office or meeting room (business).
