One of the three watchtowers guarding the entrance to Sur lagoon, which, together with the fort, were supposed to protect Sur from attacks from the sea.
Sur has an ancient history: from the 6th century, Arab sailing ships loaded with merchandise left here for the East African coast, Persia and India.
It is blissful to spend an evening here and watch the moon rise.
