Waving grasses, rushes and sedges along a ditch in a Dutch polder. The photo was taken on a cloudy day in the summer season in the Binnenpolder near the village of Terheijden, municipality of Drimmelen, province of Noord-Brabant. The Terheijdense Binnenpolder is a peat meadow area that was created by cutting peat about six centuries ago. Therefore the area is now about 1,50 meter lower than it used to be.
