We always see everything coloured because nothing is black and white!

What you see and what you think you see, especially in photography, are often not the same. When you look at this picture, at first glance you see strong colours and shapes: a "swurl" of shades of green. Would you have thought it is a young lily of the valley looking up above the ground with curled-up leaves in spring? It was photographed straight from above with a lovely spring sunlight illuminating the little plant from the side. A macro lens provides little depth of field, reducing the plant to a more or less abstract photo. As a result, the image reminds me somewhat of northern lights. But in my own backyard! This image also looks good in large format.

With my images, I try to capture the essence of the subject in such a way that it leads to alienation, stillness and amazement.
