About the artwork

This picture shows a close-up of two different pieces of corrugated sheet metal, one rusty red and the other weathered grey. The textures and colours of the sheets form a captivating contrast and create an abstract composition.

As an abstract art photographer, I am always looking for the beauty in the everyday and the ephemeral. This work from the series "Weathered Harmony," is a perfect representation of my fascination with texture and decay. The rusty red plate with its flaking paint and the weathered grey plate with its subtle shades and holes together tell a story of time and elements leaving their mark.

My inspiration for this work comes from the Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi, which celebrates the beauty of imperfection and impermanence. The mood I want to set with this is one of serene contemplation and appreciation for the natural processes of decay and renewal.

This work fits within the tradition of abstract photography and can be compared to the work of artists such as Aaron Siskind and Minor White, who also emphasised the beauty of texture and form in their work. At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
