Sunset North Cape Eemshaven.
Later in summer, the skies can turn beautiful colours. So here, too, the forecasts were right and we set off for Noordkaap, the northernmost point of Groningen, with a rucksack full of equipment and, of course, boots as footwear to get out onto the mud flats. The latter is always a challenge not to get stuck and/or lose the boots.
When I arrived, I set off in search of a composition in which the weathered poles formed a nice foreground. This time a vertical shot with a group of posts in the middle. Just after sunset, I was not disappointed and the sky brightened up fantastically. The reflection of the colours in the dried mudflats also completed it. How always enjoyable it is on the other side of the dyke.
I have been photographing since I was little, but the beauty of nature is something I really started to see by actively photographing landscapes and nature. By consciously standing still and taking in your surroundings you learn to look and feel differently.
