Modern interpretation of a classic botanical illustration of the White Deadnettle (Lamium album) .
This plate shows the various aspects of the life of a common plant. All parts were prepared, cut and grown separately and then photographed in detail. The parts were then biologically correct and put together in a logical relationship to form an orderly whole.
The seed dispersal was pictured as an additional detail: two ants dragging seeds. Each seed grain has a "ant roll", a piece of sweetness to reward diligent ants.
Very old paper has been used as the background to enhance the classic look.
