This collection of sea urchin skeletons from around the world was photographed by exposing each skeleton separately from the inside. The corresponding spines were also each photographed separately. In this way, the delicate structures such as the tiny holes in the skeleton and the markings on the spines, come into their own. The hedgehogs were assembled into a composition after the photo work.
