Analogue black and white photo taken on a bitterly cold winter's day from a bridge in Berlin Kreuzberg in the direction of Berlin-Mitte.
The photographic exposure was taken with the Pentacon Six medium format camera (30mm Zodiak lens)
The image motif was first developed by hand using B/W film processing.
This was followed by a digital scan in high-resolution quality.
It was one of the coldest winter years I had ever experienced in Berlin.
The abstract reduction of colour to classic black and white lends the urban city motif a dramatic, poetic, timeless and elegant atmosphere.
