I discovered the surreal, frozen and icy nature motif in the rural area of Brandenburg in the tranquil, small village of Kehrigk in the Oder-Spree district.
The meadow and willow ground was frozen at night and conjured up interesting, abstract shapes and ice structures. The cold natural landscape looks like an imaginative dream.
The subsequent processing and rich enhancement of the wintry, earth-coloured tones lends the motif a warm, harmonious pictorial effect.
The multi-faceted ice structure gives the motif a poetic, mystical and fairytale-like atmosphere.
