On a 15x15 cm square canvas, this wreath with flowers of the Hydrangea, a plant you see everywhere in Dutch and English gardens in late summer, was created. The inflorescence is like a bulb containing small four-petalled flowers, beautiful in colour. I was once told that if you sprinkle some nails in the ground around the plant, the colour changes to blue...or is it dark red or purple? Either way, this wreath of hydrangea flowers is more bluish, painted with acrylic paint and white accents. If you let the hydrangea flowers dry, you can enjoy them all autumn. This painting has now dried and is ready to hang. Find a nice spot above a table or a cupboard. And if you add a vase containing, you guessed it, a few Hydrangeas, dried or not, your styling is complete. The atmosphere is a tad romantic, fragile but also colourful and fresh. A great addition to any interior!
