About ‘Young girl sewing’ by Affect Fotografie

The Danish artist Vilhelm Hammershøi painted his younger sister, Anna Hammershøi, in 1887 and titled the work ‘Young Girl Sewing’ (or *En ung pige, der syr*).

Hammershøi is known for his poetic, subdued interiors and portraits, which often evoke a sense of tranquillity.
