About ‘Zabriskie Point Death Valley National Park’ by Götz Gringmuth-Dallmer Photography

About two hours' drive from Las Vegas is Zabriskie Point, a fascinating viewpoint in Death Valley National Park in California. It is often said that the cover photo for the U2 album "Joshua Tree" was probably taken here.

Temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius during the day are not uncommon here, but this does not stop you from marvelling at the magnificent earth and rock formations in the desert. Unique colour tones make the landscape a spectacular sight.

I took this photo in October.
