On a trip to Belgium to take some photos there, I also came close to the Zeelandbrug. Naturally, I planned a stop here to take a nice photo of this bridge. Now this bridge has been photographed many times and it is quite difficult to make something original out of it.
Armed with my camera, tripod and some grey filters, I slowly made my way down to the water's edge. It was the middle of the day, so lots of light. So I decided to use a ten-stop grey filter to work with a slower shutter speed. This makes the water silky smooth and radiates tranquillity.
After taking a few photos, I got back into my car and continued my journey to our southern neighbours.
As always, I edit my photos taken on the road at my desk at home. There I have access to a fast computer, a large screen, a Wacom drawing tablet and several software packages, to make the photo suitable for your wall. For this photo, I adjusted the lighting to achieve a high key effect.
