About "play of light and ice"

About the artwork

In this subtle, ethereal image, you see a leaf that has blossomed and barely exists beyond a ghostly outline - a reminder of what was once full and vibrant. Around the leaf, darkness turns in soft bokeh patches, like votive lights in a silent space, while thin ice crystals accentuate the leaf along its edges.

The light - sparse and precarious - glides along the edges of the leaf, drawing a fragile trail in the ice, detailing veins and cracks that would otherwise remain invisible. The contrast between the melancholy, empty silhouette and the subtle glistening of the ice creates an atmosphere of transience and stillness.

The whole invites attentive observation: what remains when life fades away? What traces do we bear even when form and colour have disappeared? This work evokes silence, memory and the beauty hidden in decay.

It touches on contemplative themes: transformation, waning splendour, impermanence.
The combination of sharp contour, icy texture and soft bokeh creates a mystical, dreamy ambience.
In an interior, it brings calm and invites inner reflection.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
