I love to photograph outside and especially in the fall. But I certainly enjoy making it a different image than the standard one. These pine trees, in the middle of the Wandelbos in Tilburg, already attracted my attention in autumn. They caught my eye then because of their bright yellow coloring, set off against the green background. When I wanted to go out again this year to photograph fall foliage, I remembered these trees in the Wandelbos. At the end of the day, I made my way to this pitch and saw these trees standing again in their beautiful yellow ornamentation. But I had seen many photos of those pass by. Then my eye fell on the reflection in the water. I had to shift my viewpoint several times to get the whole reflection on it, and then I came home with wet feet. The result was that the photo was successful. During post-processing, it suddenly occurred to me that the reflection was much more interesting than the real trees. Therefore I turned the photo around. What you see is the pure reflection of the trees in the water. At the bottom of the photo you can still see some of the trunks of the 'real' trees.
This photo looks great in a warm home, against a white or lightly tinted wall.
