Hana, or the heartbreaking nature of things on canvas, poster, wallpaper and ArtFrame by Erik Roger

The works in the Hana series are an homage to the Japanese concept of mono no aware, the awareness of the impermanence of all things. Each artwork captures a moment in time, exploring the delicate balance between beauty and decay as seen in nature. Much like the cherry blossom, a symbol of mono no aware, this series reflects the fragility of life and the beauty of the fleeting moment. By starting with the background and building the drawing layer by layer, an intimate and meditative atmosphere is created, inviting quiet reflection.
