Mushrooms on canvas, poster, wallpaper and ArtFrame by Moetwil en van Dijk - Fotografie

A nice story to share: where does the word mushroom come from? Mushrooms used to be associated with magical stories. The name comes from a frog. People used to think mushrooms were strange, scary things. In one day the whole forest could suffice with those crazy colored hats. Mushrooms were therefore quickly associated with magical stories. Gnomes would live in mushrooms and witches would use mushrooms for their potions. The name for the mushroom originated from this magical world. Toads were the pets of witches and wizards. And when those toads were tired, they rested on their own chairs in the forest: mushrooms.
