Where can I find and change my shop link?
Your shop link
We automatically make a link for your shop, from your first and last name. The link to your web shop would be:
firstnamelastname.artheroes.com
You can edit the link in your dashboard under ‘Edit profile,’ and then ‘Edit your profile.’ Allowed characters are a-z and 0-9. You can always adjust this later. In your dashboard you can find the button ‘promotion’ with all the links you can make to your shop.
Sharing the right URL
Go to the menu, and under ‘marketing’ you can find the right URL
Can I open a shop if I live outside the Netherlands?
Certainly! We have many artists in our community that live outside the Netherlands.
It is important to fill in your address, however, even if this address is not in the Netherlands. This information is required by law if we are to pay you.
It is also possible to pay your commission in a currency other than the Euro. If we pay you via paypal, it is also not necessary for you to have a chamber of
commerce registration.
Please note that It is incumbent upon you to ensure that you meet the local requirements for paying tax.
Can I build my page and shop behind the scenes first?
Every artwork you place in your account is immediately ready to sell. But don’t worry, as long as you don't promote your shop page, you can quietly build it up. Is your shop page you ready? Share it everywhere.

Dashboard. You can find the dashboard, left, above the menu. Whenever you click on it, you can see if there are still open notifications. Maybe you still need to add a profile photo, or your payment settings are not yet complete. Next to it you will see the latest updates on the forum.
Profile. The section ‘profile’ is where you can add to, edit, or delete your personal information. Options include: edit your profile, change the settings of your profile, add or remove your profile photo, fill in and edit your payment settings, change your password.
Settings. The section ‘settings’ is where you can change your shop preferences. That is where you can change the order in which your art is shown (you can opt for example to display by date or rating).
Commission. The section ‘commission’ sends you to a page where you can change the commission of all your work.
Upload. Here you can upload new works. Read the requirements thoroughly before you upload your work. Whenever you upload new work, make sure that you dedicate time to add metadata. Artworks without metadata are not saved.
Manage works. Here you can manage your shop and profile. Remove, replace or adjust your works.

Statistics. The section ‘statistics’ sends you to a page with sales data. You also see which artworks have been sold, and in what numbers.
Marketing. In this option, you can find the right URLs to share your works and shop. You will also find other handy marketing tools to promote your shop.

I got a message that the commission is paid, but my old bank account number is still in my dashboard. What should I do?
No worries! Your commission will typically be credited back to our account. Once we have received this, you will be notified. Update your details and your commission will be paid to your correct account in the following month.
What information do you require from me?
In your dashboard, you can edit your payment details. You can sell at Art Heroes for both business and private purposes. You can be paid into your bank account or a PayPal account.
Are you set up as self employed, and therefore have a VAT number? If so you can enter a VAT number. In the case of Dutch VAT numbers, payment is made including VAT commission.
You will find a complete overview of all data required in your dashboard.
How do I change, replace or delete an album?
In the dashboard, you can find the section ‘albums.’ Here you can make and edit albums.
You can indirectly choose which photos are on the cover page of the albums by organising them through categories. To find out more, look at ‘How can I find my work’.
Can I set a standard material and size for the artworks in my shop?
Yes, you can. In the shop preferences, you can specify which size and material will be shown as standard.
Tip:
The chosen size and material are the default for a first visit. If the visitor changes material or size while browsing the website then this is remembered and those choices are used as defaults. This way, the shop adapts based on the visitor's behaviour and wishes.
Note:
We carefully chose the default option of an average size and art frame as a material. This standard material and size gives customers a nice indication of the possible price and ensures a good conversion rate. Lower standard prices (e.g. a small photo print) can be very disappointing if the final purchase turns out to be more expensive after all. So handle this option carefully!
Your shop's profile is the first impression you give the visitor! It is therefore important to think about what you display to the customer. We recommend adding a profile picture to your shop. This can be a photo, or your company logo. This will make your shop and your artworks a lot more personal! In addition, add nice information for the customer. Describe yourself, your style and everything you want to say about yourself. The more specific, the better. Customers find it very interesting to find out more about the creator and the story behind 'their' purchase! You can also include multiple websites in your profile. For example, your instagram profile, your blog or your personal websites. This not only allows visitors to find more information about you, it also comes across as reliable
Give your customer nice information about you as an artist
Add social media and website for more information
Easily change the name of your shop page
Go to the forum and ask your question! Among thousands of artists, there is always someone online who knows the answer.
