Ingeborg Herckenrath, better known as Atelier Paint-Ing has a fine selection of beautiful paintings in our collection. What immediately stands out are the thick layers of paint, expressively and colourfully applied. These thick layers of paint create depth in the image. And the expressive way of painting makes you discover new things in the painting every time you look at it.
Experiences
Even as an 11-year-old girl, Ingeborg took drawing and painting lessons from an experienced painter. ‘The most important first lesson was learning to look. This became the basis for my search for composition and use of colour. These creative lessons became the foundation of my career as a graphic designer and designer. For several years now, I have been working as a full-time artist. It’s what I love most.’
About the paintings
In almost every painting you will find people. In a group or as a portrait. ‘I like to show the connection between people by painting body positions. And in my portraits, I try to depict emotions through levels of colour’.
