About the artwork

The digital artwork "De Bijenkorf" shows the department store as a shining focal point in an otherwise dark city. The facade of De Bijenkorf, located on Lange Viestraat in the heart of Utrecht, is richly decorated with Christmas lights: warm shades of gold, subtle lines of white and amber, and a soft glow that brings the building to life against the night-time backdrop.
The street is silent, with only a few silhouettes of passers-by - abstractly rendered, minimalist, almost faded in the dark. The reflection of light on the wet pavement stones creates a dynamic play of shine and shadow. Everything breathes tranquillity, as if the city is holding its breath, lit only by the festive splendour of De Bijenkorf.
The windows of the department store show faint outlines of interior lighting, giving the impression that inside is alive - an echo of shopping, warmth and anticipation. This work is all about atmosphere: the harmony between silence and brilliance, between architecture and emotion. The colour palette remains controlled - deep blues and black, interspersed with gold, cream and soft yellow.
This artwork captures not only a building, but also a feeling: the quiet splendour of a Dutch city on a December night, where light and emptiness meet in a moment of stillness.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
