About the artwork

This digital artwork captures an intriguing moment in the recent history of industry in Gelderland: the shutdown of the Gelderland Power Plant in 2015. The image shows the power plant in its resting state, without smoke or movement, a symbol of a bygone era when fossil energy still dominated.
In the foreground are randomly scattered several white and blue containers of the company "Van Vliet", carelessly placed as if waiting for the next job. Their functional, modern form contrasts sharply with the robust, industrial architecture of the power station behind them. They seem to have come into the picture almost by accident, emphasising the transience and change in the use of the space.
The summer sky is bright blue and completely cloudless, evoking a sense of stillness and emptiness. The bright sunlight casts sharp shadows and accentuates the geometry of the buildings and containers. This serene atmosphere reinforces the idea of a pause - as if time has stopped for a moment.
The artwork raises questions about energy, transition and legacy. It confronts the viewer with the traces our energy needs have left in the landscape, while leaving room for interpretation: is this the end, or rather the beginning of a new destiny?

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
