Under a brilliant blue sky, completely cleared of clouds, a stylised cityscape unfolds in which the stillness of a sunny day can be felt. The digital artwork, inspired by Hendrik Oort's painting in the Centraal Museum, shows "De Pausdam en Achter de Dom" in a clear, simplified style reminiscent of the cartoon-like atmosphere of "Sjors en Sjimmie". To the left of the image, stately buildings rise, rendered in warm brown tones with thick, black outlines emphasising their shapes. Windows and doors are reduced to simple rectangles, while shadows are indicated by flat, darker colours.
Beside these properties, the narrow street Behind the Cathedral opens up, an inviting passage that gives depth to the image. To the right of this street is a large building in shadow, shrouded in cooler, darker tones that contrast with the sunlit left. The building suggests mass and heaviness, but remains simple in detail, in keeping with the strip style.
At the back, the imposing Dom tower rises, its silhouette drawn sleek and stylised against the blue sky. Next to the tower, the Dom Church is visible, also simplified, emphasising its distinctive shapes and lines. The whole scene exudes a calm, almost timeless atmosphere, where architecture and colour come together in a harmonious, graphic image. The absence of people gives the surroundings something hushed, like a snapshot of a summer morning in Utrecht.
