A few years ago I already captured the full moon aligned with a subject and that was so much fun to do that I wanted to schedule some of these shoots again this year.
The first was at this picturesque little chapel Try-au-Chêne in Genappe, just over Brussels. I made a few different compositions and in this version I aligned the moon between the chapel and the lone tree that keeps it company. With the longer shutter speed required, you can see the movement of the wind in the leaves of the tree and the grasses in the foreground.
This photo also lent itself perfectly to a black-and-white conversion. Wondering which one will catch your eye the most. Be sure to take a look in my shop for the other version.
