A Bell Boeing CV-22B Osprey of the U.S. Air Force leaves for its home base in England after the Royal International Air Tattoo.
The V-22 Osprey is the first aircraft in the world which was developed under the so-called tiltrotor concept and produced in series. This means that the vertical lifting capacity of a helicopter is combined with the high forward speed and also the longer range of a normal twin-engine turboprop aircraft. The aircraft was developed by the companies Bell and Boeing.
