A McDonnell Douglas F-15C Eagle returns to its home base Nellis Air Force Base.
The McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle is a tactical fighter jet that can be used in all weather conditions. There are several versions, with a crew of 1 or 2.
The F-15 is aimed at achieving and maintaining air superiority. The goal of the F-15 is to penetrate enemy airspace and eliminate any threat in the air.
The aircraft possesses an array of weapon and defense systems to perceive, identify, track and attack enemy threats while flying in its own or enemy airspace. The aircraft's weapon and flight control systems are designed to allow one person to operate them under combat conditions.
For many years, the F-15 has been the reliable multirole (deployable in a variety of ways) backbone of the United States Air Force (USAF).
