I took this photo during the Tulip Festival in the Northeast Polder. I chose to capture a closed yellow tulip in sharp focus and keep the red tulips out of focus. You can just see in the background something of a dike which is a provincial border with Overijssel. As I couldn't get into the tulip field properly, I used a 55-300mm telephoto lens. As you can see, I also used a low viewpoint so that there is more depth in the photo. When I took this photo, the weather wasn't quite brilliant, there were some veil clouds in front of the sun making the light a bit more even.
